Blooming Sustainability: The Transformative Journey of Compost Bins

Compost bins are practical marvels, transforming waste into treasure. For three years, I've witnessed this interesting process. Layering organic waste with dried leaves and substrate sparks an exothermic reaction, generating heat and moisture. Fungi and bacteria thrive, converting kitchen scraps into mushy matter, blending with substrate like garden soil. Black soldier flies lay eggs, hatching into larvae that feast on the waste. Nutrient-rich liquid is produced, fostering diverse fungi and germinating hidden seeds. Through composting, we combat food wastage and nurture insect biodiversity. In this entire journey, sustainability blooms from decay, reminding us of nature's transformative power.
