Chennai Puts Its Pedal on the Gas

On August 30th, India made history by inaugurating the Indian Racing League (IRL), the world's first gender-neutral racing championship and India's first night-race event held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. A circuit was built near the Marina and the thrilling sound of engines revving up attracted motorsport enthusiasts nationwide. While media coverage remained minimal, suggesting the long journey ahead, MK Stalin’s ambitious initiative to build the stadium played a key role in garnering attention towards the sport. It offers hope to the growing community of F1 fans who dream of representing their country and perhaps even winning a title someday.
