Doctor Who Lied to Us.

That’s right. The majestic TARDIS evading Time’s principles and, fiercely unravelling Change seems to be, in hindsight nothing more than honest poppycock.

Or at least that’s what physicist Igor Novikov believed in his 1980s theory rationalising time travel. Combining curious elements of spirituality, Novikov’s Self-Consistency Principle believes that even if you do manage to travel past centuries, you cannot change a thing. Novikov disagrees with the probability of a singular timelines-altering event and asserts that in this world whatever must happen, inevitably and absolutely will.

You are what you will be, Igor propounds. And is there anything more simple?
