The Human Dilemma: Why Achieving "World Peace" Remains a Challenge

Big names and respected speakers have publicly discussed dreaming of world peace. But isn’t this dream a little unattainable? The terrorism and the rivalries between nations are majorly responsible for the violence in the world. But the real benefactors of these hostilities are the huge and dominating weapons and pharmaceutical lobbies owned by powerful countries.Simply put, the neverending conflicts between nations ensures that weapons and medicines are always in high demand. I wouldn’t be shocked if these countries were the reason why there is always an ongoing conflict happening around, given the vast profits made solely from warfare.

Employment

According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the weapons industry's strong employment rate contributed to a 5.8% unemployment rate in 2021. This demonstrates that not only are these firms profitable, but they have also become a necessity for the people. The more the demand for these enterprises, the more they will expand, and the farther they develop, the more jobs they will create, making them even more difficult to prohibit.
