The Inseparable duo; Politics and knowledge

We acquire knowledge daily through social media, websites ,journals, in fact, the list is endless. As thoughtful knowledge seekers we should be aware that the knowledge we consume has some constraints, most often political. In one of her articles Dr Joel Cabrita who is a professor at Stanford University acknowledged how the knowledge we acquire most often favours a certain race and gender usually white and male. Apart from that, knowledge that might have political implications is often not published or the truth is adorned with make-up. Whenever you get a moment to acquire knowledge be cognisant of the danger of a single story. Be a wise knowledge seeker.
