The post-pandemic world from a deeper perspective.

Worldwide, the total number of medics is 27.9 million, of which 19.3 million are nurses. This represents a total increase in fees of 4.7 million between 2013 and 2018 and recognizes that nursing is the largest occupational group in the health sector, accounting for approximately 59% of healthcare occupations. There is no doubt that healthcare professionals are one of the most important professions and therefore have a higher level of work stress, especially after what we had to live in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. These people have truly experimented another level of mental pain.

The impact on the mental health of healthcare workers was manifested by moderate to high levels of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and absenteeism, with a higher prevalence among junior nurses and people in direct contact with infected patients.


The health crisis caused by Covid-19 has become an opportunity to rethink the programs, standards and processes that need to be implemented in the health sector and across the sector. One of the most important lessons the pandemic has taught us is that the world desperately needs more capable health systems.


The situation challenges the work base of the health sector in confronting the epidemic in pursuit of economic feasibility, security and equality in providing health services to the population and increasing access to this health service.
