Perhaps the most influential piece of Art to have been spawned during the Renaissance is undoubtedly Sandra Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus. Depicting the Goddess of Love and Beauty, arriving as pristine on Land as she is on Heaven, Botticelli brings to life her creation right from the gusts of wind blown by Zephyr to the floral adornment that awaits her. Believed to have been commissioned by the Medici Family and inspired by Poet Agnolo Poliziano, this vivacious curation discovered in 1485 CE, is held in Florence today and celebrates the meaning of Venus, in all her fine glory.
