US vs Egalitarian Education
With over 50 states in the U.S.- some spending as little as $5000, education purely just maintains the
established social power structure. There is a high amount of inequality, enforcing the status quo of
different groups through transmission of social and cultural capital. Lastly, even though the law was
passed on to provide equal chances to disabled kids, it is difficult to see it happening in real life based on the spending patterns of the states. Therefore, though trying to make good attempts, it is highly unlikely for the U.S. to meet the egalitarian burden of education.
