Wipro Engages in Legal Battle with Ex-CFO Jatin Dalal Over Non-Compete Breach

Wipro, the IT major, has intensified its legal dispute with former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jatin Dalal. In November, Wipro filed a lawsuit alleging Dalal breached a non-compete clause by joining Cognizant within 12 months. Wipro is seeking damages of Rs 25.15 crore from Dalal, plus 18% interest until payment. The dispute arises from Dalal's move to Cognizant, with Wipro contending it violates the non-compete agreement. This legal tussle follows Wipro's recent complaint against another former executive, Mohd Haque, for a similar non-compete breach by joining Cognizant before completing his tenure at Wipro.
